Network Printing
Primary Contact: TBD
Secondary Contact: Scott Delinger
Networked printers can serve many computers within a research group, thereby minimizing costs. We can arrange for printers to be connected to the network, and therefore be accessible to Macs, Windows, and UNIX/Linux computers, depending on the capabilities of the printer. We can also advise you on what new printer to purchase, given your needs. This advice can save you in two ways: 1) you buy no more printer than necessary, and 2) you don't underpurchase, requiring another purchase in the near future. Printers in some cases can last a decade: don't make a hasty mistake! We also can troubleshoot why you can no longer print over the network to your networked printer.
Please submit your request to our Help Desk. The Help Desk automatically alerts the correct individuals of the request. If you cannot reach the Help Desk (computer completely inoperative, network down), call one of the primary contacts for this service. The Help Desk is designed to help you and us track requests, provide a forum for Frequently Asked Questions, and help us keep you apprised of our progress on your requests.
