Welcome! |
Welcome!Technology pervades the Department, in research, teaching, and administration. Whether it's the web, email, high-speed networking, computer laboratories, or supercomputational clusters, technology is a critical tool in all aspects of Chemistry. For over ten years, Chem IT staff have provided expertise in networking, communications, and computers so work gets done. From 230 kbps LocalTalk to Gigabit Ethernet, from Sun 3/50s to clusters of 192 processors, from LAN-based email to webmail, we've kept the Department moving forward with proven technology. As a tool, technology can facilitate teaching and research techniques not available before. All technology deployed here must be proven to be reliable and cost-effective prior to wide-scale rollout. We invite you to flip through our site, bookmarking anything that you need to refer to regularly, and send us any comments, questions, or suggestions you might have. Thanks for visiting! Scott L.
